Montreal FantastiCon 2016
How does one describe the feeling of being in a place where all the toys from your youth to be available for purchase? You know, all the things you spent hours upon hours pouring over in the Sears, giant Christmas catalogue? What would you do if you came face to face with the toys your parents said; sorry we just cannot afford that Star Wars Spaceship?
What would you do if such a place existed? - Simple, if your me: You would go absolutely “Bonkers”! And if your my spouse: You hurriedly dig deep in my purse in order to wrestle my wallet away from me. Not that I am a big spender, to the contrary. I am the coupon lady and thrifty is my middle name. I don't spend money on frivolous things EVER! To the exception of TOYS! I LOVE VINTAGE TOYS!
That is what the FantastiCon was all about. A magical time warp where hidden gems lay in wait to be discovered. I was thrilled to be apart of that and so was my kid! I look forward to attending the next one.
