North Lanark Highland Games 2016

I wish to send out a heartfelt thank you to Ellen Marvin, from Ruach Crafts, for her gracious invitation to come out to be a part of North Lanark Games Highland Games.

Having done a few of these games, I am now almost certain, Mother Nature to favour men in kilts. Why? The heat was scorching and not one cloud in the sky to offer any shade.

I was told these games to have a ''family'' themed aura about them and they were right. Seeing the little ones "Huffing and puffing" during the rope battle against the entire Highland (strong men) in the competition was one of the high lights of my day. The smiles of the young ones after their win were so much fun to be a part of.
